Progressive Values

Responsible Budgets

Strong Services

Let's build a Future that is equitable, inclusive, sustainable, and sustains Northampton Residents' Needs

Who am I and why am I running?

Born and raised in Italy, I earned there my Master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Managemt.

My thesis was on "The Econmic Impact of Public Regulation".

Pretty unusual for an engineer, right?

Soon after graduating I became involved in the local politics and policy making of the town I was living in, Beinasco (TO), Italy.

I was elected City Councilor and served from 2004 to 2007.

I was member of  the budget committee where I could influence the budget development, and

as City Councilor I was able to amend the budget to prioritize affordable housing initiatives and capital improvements to support the efficient operation of public buildings and infrastructures.

I moved to the Pioneer Valley in 2007 and made Northampton my home in 2010.

I chose Northampton because of its reputation of being a progressive city with good schools and services.

I became a US citizen in 2022 and up to that point I only paid attention to National politics.

But in the last 3 years, as I became eligible to vote, I started paying attention to local policies

and the significant cuts in teaching positions proposed in Fiscal Year 2025 made me concerned.

As a concerned citizen and parent I started attending City Council meetings trying to understand why we were cutting services while Northampton was producing recurring and substantial surplus every year.

And here I am.

A concerned citizen who is willing to serve his community and change the priorities in our City.

What am I looking for?

I'm looking for the local policy making to be in line with the principles on the Seal of our City:

"Caritas (caring), education (education), and justitia (justice)".

I'm looking to live in a City where we still balance the budget, but not at the expense of essential services.

I'm looking to improve the capability of our city to fill positions to deliver the essential services and make them strong for All (schools, DPW, and beyond).

What am I capable of?

I have developed city budgets and capital improvement plans.

I have developed and managed budgets and capital investments as a manager in manufacturing and construction industries.

I have worked as a production manager with over 200 union workers reporting to me, and managed union relationships.

I work for a major renewable energy company and environmental and financial sustainability are a key part of what I do and believe in.

What are you looking for?

If you are seeing what I'm seeing,

and looking for the same change I'm seeking,

I am asking you to support my candidacy,

and let me know what vision you have for the City,

and what my mission should be for you.

Please remember to vote twice!
